Bio
Hello second grade families! My name is Brenda Barajas. I am an experienced elementary school teacher with 20 years of service in the Los Angeles Unified School District. I began my journey in education at California State University Long Beach where I earned my undergraduate degree. I then went on to receive both my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Master’s in Teaching from Chapman University. Throughout my career, I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, giving me a strong understanding of how students grow and learn across the elementary years. I am committed to creating a positive, supportive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to take risks, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Our classroom holds a strong focus on project-based learning, providing students with meaningful, hands-on experiences that help them truly connect with what they are learning. Through these opportunities, students are able to explore, collaborate, and “bloom” both academically and socially. In my classroom, you’ll find that encouragement, laughter, and engaging activities make learning fun and meaningful. I believe every child can succeed, and I’m here to support them every step of the way! I believe that a strong home-school connection is essential to student success, and I value building positive partnerships with families to support each child’s growth.
