Biography

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Ana Cortez and I’m so glad you are here. I have been teaching since 2026, that's 20 years now, working primarily in the primary grades within both a Dual Language and currently the Magnet program. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to creating meaningful, engaging learning experiences that help every child grow both academically and socially.

I am proud to be a National Board Certified Teacher, and a Common Sense Educator, committed to helping students become thoughtful, responsible digital citizens. Teaching is not just my profession—it’s my passion.

In our classroom, I strive to create a warm, loving environment where students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of student success, and I work closely with families to build a supportive community. I see parents and caregivers as true partners in their child’s education, and together we can help every student thrive.

Llevo 20 años enseñando desde 2026, principalmente en los primeros grados, tanto en el programa bilingüe como, actualmente, en el programa Magnet. A lo largo de mi carrera, me he dedicado a crear experiencias de aprendizaje significativas y estimulantes que ayuden a cada niño a crecer tanto académica como socialmente.
