Welcome to Lucille Roybal-Allard Elementary

My name is Ms. Hang Nguyen, and I am honored to serve as the principal of Lucille Roybal-Allard Elementary. As I approach my 30th year with the Los Angeles Unified School District, I’ve had the privilege of serving as a teacher, coordinator, coach, and assistant principal. Each role has shaped my belief in the power of strong schools, and I am proud to welcome you to a new school year in this incredible community.

 

As both a Community and Pilot School, we see ourselves as a hub for our families, offering three personalized pathways for students: Community Leadership Academy (CLA), Spanish Immersion Dual Language, and our DREAMS Magnet Program (Design Thinking, Research, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Science). Our Dual Language program extends beyond the classroom with rich experiences like field trips, cooking classes, and folklórico. We are proud recipients of the California Gold PBIS Award and the National Magnet Merit Award of Distinction, recognitions that reflect our commitment to excellence and the continued growth of our students.

 

On behalf of our entire staff, we look forward to our continued partnership. When school and home work together, children thrive. We ask for your support in helping your child come to school each day on time, complete assignments, read regularly, share their learning, and ask for help when needed. Most importantly, we hope every child knows they are capable of success and a bright future. Throughout the year, we invite you to stay connected through parent workshops; Coffee, Community, and Connections with the Principal; school events like Literacy Night, STEAM and Robotics Night, and College and Career Day; as well as student celebrations and conferences. Together, we can create meaningful experiences for all our students.
